Pickler Wealth Advisors, an independent wealth advisory firm, is proud to announce that Cameron Spann, chief branding officer for the firm, has been recognized as the 2022 PR Star by the The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Memphis Chapter.
On November 3rd, PRSA honored professional leaders in the Mid-South at the annual VOX Awards in downtown’s Old Dominick Distillery.
“Presenting the PRSA Memphis Star Awards is always a highlight for our chapter,” said Peggy Reisser, chapter awards chair. “The expertise of our members and local practitioners is incredible. We honored members who work in agency, academia, and in-house. It shows the astonishing range of PR talent we have in the Mid-South.”
PR Star is awarded to a current PR practitioner with more than three years of experience, whose work has been exceptional and who is active in professional organizations or community service.
Cameron Spann, winner of the PR Star award, oversees marketing and handles the firm's social media presence, public relations, events, and creative direction.
“Communications and PR professionals often work in the shadows and wear countless hats, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Spann said. “I was astonished to be surrounded by so many superstars in my field tonight.”
Shannon Briggs, founder and owner of Campfire Collective, was recognized as the PR Executive of the Year while Rachel Powers Doyle, senior communications specialist at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, was named the 2022 Rising Star. PRSA Memphis Chapter Member of the Year, Kim Marks Malone, was recognized as the chapter member who has done outstanding work. ###
