The morning of Saturday, January 15, 2011 started as a cold crisp day. 

While blue skies eventually prevailed, it turned out to be a “green day” for our community-wide Shredding with Shrek Day.  Pickler Wealth Advisors have committed to the greening of Memphis two ways.  One is our support of recycling by providing the free document shredding event at our offices.  The second is through our major sponsor of the Orpheum Theater’s Shrek: The Musical… and things don’t get much greener than Shrek.  Decked out in our green sweaters, we helped a steady stream of friends, family and guests unload their old documents while being greeted by a very affable Shrek, played by local actor, Patrick Prentiss.  Along with the giant shredder and Shrek, we had plenty of coffee, warm cider and hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy.  It was a great green day for all of us recycling several tons of paper. 

If you couldn’t attend, don’t worry, we’ll be offering the shredding event several more times in the coming year.
